 About
Bowl-a-RAMa:
Bowl-a-RAMa is an
event to benefit the Central Dauphin High School
RamBand programs. We're looking for as many
bowlers as possible to participate in the
inaugural event. It will be a great
team-building event where participants raise money,
then bowl for a few hours, mingle, and generally
have some fun. It's also an opportunity for a
final fling for the departing band members in the
class of 2008 as well as a chance to meet with the
incoming class of 2012 band members.
Date and Time:
The event will
take place on May xx, 2007, from xx:xx pm to xx:xx
pm at the
ABC North Lanes,
5303 Locust Lane in Harrisburg.
Our Goal:
Our goal is to have
each bowler raise a minimum of $100 in pledges,
which will not only cover the cost of lanes, shoes,
prizes, and food, but also will begin to make a dent in the $80,000
we're trying to raise for the items on Mr.
Ceresini's wish list over the coming
year.
Prize
Eligibility:
Only those bowlers
who raise the $100 minimum will be eligible for
prizes and the Official Bowl-a-RAMa 2007 Tee Shirt.
To be eligible for team prizes, each member must
have raised the $100 minimum.

Bowl-a-RAMa FAQ’s
Do I Have to Know How to Bowl?
Skill
is not required! Just come for a good time and to
help the Central Dauphin Ram Band. And it's
not like you're going to be embarrassed by your low
score when you're wearing those ridiculous shoes

Do I Get Started?
Just start calling
friends and relatives and ask them if they'd be
willing to sponsor you in Bowl-a-RAMa. Use the
official Bowl-a-RAMa
pledge form to keep track of your
progress. Get your donations ASAP, as you'll
have to turn them in the night of Bowl-a-RAMa.
Remember, we're looking for $100 per bowler.
So, you'll need to find ten generous folks, five
really generous folks, or one or two really, really
generous folks!
Do We Keep
Score?
Of course we keep score, what are we, a bunch of
non-competitive weenies? Just remember that
pledges are not based on the number of games bowled
or the score.
How Many Games
Do I Bowl?
Two games in two
hours. Knock
yourselves out.
How Much is
the Registration Fee?
The fee is $20. This includes two games of
bowling, bowling and shoe rental,
and pizza for the team. If you raise $100 in
donations, you don't have to pay the additional $20.
How Much Should I Raise?
Each bowler should raise at least $100. You
can send emails to everyone you know and collect
your $100 fast and easy-- it's 10 donors at $10
each!!
Can I Pick the Bowlers On My Team?
Sure,
go crazy. If you want to pick your teammates
before you show up, go right ahead. Pick a
nickname, come up with a team costume, whatever.
Or if you just want to come for the event, don't
sweat it: show up and we'll get you set up
with teammates. Who knows, it might be a
bonding experience and you'll end up as lifelong
friends. We'd like to limit teams to five
bowlers so that each participant
gets to bowl as much as possible. Remember,
though, that each team member has to have raised the
$100 minimum before the team's eligible for prizes.
Can I Pledge Money But Not Bowl?
Absolutely! You can come watch the fun, participate
in the other fun stuff that'll be going on,
and support your favorite team!
When Is The Registration Fee Due?
ASAP,
however the deadline is xxx, xx, 2007, which is two
weeks before you are scheduled to bowl.
When Are Donations Due?
Donations
are due at the event. To count, all pledge money must
be collected and brought to the Bowl-a-RAMa.
Only those bowlers who raise the $100 minimum will
be eligible for prizes and the Official Bowl-a-RAMa
2007 Tee Shirt. It's not that we don't trust
you or your donors; but, it's cash on the barrel,
bub.
What If I Receive Money
After Bowl-a-RAMa?
Um, yeah. We'll gladly accept money raised after the
Bowl-a-RAMa. Please forward the money to the
Bowl-a-RAMa event head or to Mr. Ceresini.
Can My Friends Who
Aren't In The Band Bowl?
Sure. The more the merrier. First come
first served. Their money's good here.
Are You Going to Feed Me?
Yes.
We'll provide one large pizza per
team. Plus we'll have lots of other snacks and
drinks to maintain your energy during this exerting
event.
When Will I Get My Prize(s)?
You'll
get your T-shirt the night of the Bowl-a-RAMa.
We'll likely distribute the other prizes after the
event. |
