Buddy Night

2011 Buddy Night:  September 30 (@ CD East)
About Buddy Night

Central Dauphin High School RamBand Buddy Night is an event where upcoming freshman in a middle school band experience what a typical football game is like for members of the Central Dauphin High School Marching Band.  Each eighth grade buddy is paired with an upper classman in the buddy's instrument section who serves as a guide through the night.

Buddy Night Details

During Buddy Night, Eighth Graders should enjoy hanging out with the cool band kids, playing songs in the stands, and best of all, LOTS OF FREE FOOD! Before the game all Band Students and Band Student Buddies will meet at Central Dauphin Middle School and will rehearse with the Marching on Landis Field at about 3:30 pm.  At about 5:20 the Buddies will participate in a new CDHS event this year, the pre-game parade from the CD Middle School to Landis Field.  Afterward, we'll enjoy dinner at the Four Diamonds Tailgate (paid for by the Central Dauphin Band Boosters)  Then, the Eighth Grade Buddies get to perform on the field and in the stands with the RamBand.  During third quarter, the Eighth Grade buddies will be treated to-- dare we say it-- more food, again courtesy of the Band Boosters (sense a theme?).
