Overview
The
Central Dauphin Indoor Color Guard, Percussion Ensemble, and Majorettes are
extracurricular activities that begin in November and end in late
April/early May.
All three groups are open to all interested CDHS students. There are typically two rehearsals each week and competitions on most Saturdays, beginning in mid-February. Indoor units present visual and musical shows in a gymnasium for audiences and judges at competitions in the spring. The Central Dauphin groups usually participate in two competitive circuits, the Keystone Indoor Drill Association (KIDA) and the Tournament Indoor Association (TIA).
The Central Dauphin HS Band Boosters host Indoor-RAMa, a TIA-sanctioned competition, in April. In late April or early May, the units may travel to the TIA All-Chapter Championships in Wildwood, NJ.
Central Dauphin also has a middle school Indoor Guard and Percusssion Ensemble-- see your middle school band director for more details! Each year, listen for more information about the Indoor season as November approaches.
