The
Central Dauphin High School Ram Marching Band will
host six top local marching bands at the 26th
annual Band-a-RAMa, to be held at Landis Field on
the campus of the Central Dauphin Middle School,
starting at 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 22,
2007. An evening of great music, pageantry and
color, Band-a-RAMa, is the perfect family event,
featuring performances by six high school marching
bands, food, and fun.
The
evening will feature performances by marching bands
from Central Dauphin High School, Central Dauphin
East High School, Dallastown Area Sr. High School,
Palmyra High School, Shippensburg High School, and
Waynesboro Area Sr. High School.
Admission to the Band-a-RAMa is $7 for adults and $3
for seniors and students. Proceeds benefit the
Central Dauphin High School band program. Tickets

The
2007-08 edition of the Ram Marching Band is led by
Mr. Matthew Ceresini, only the third Band Director
at Central Dauphin since 1955.
Band-a-RAMa will feature the seven bands’ full
complement of brass, woodwinds, percussion, and band
fronts.
“Band-a-RAMa is a great opportunity for local music
fans to check out some terrific marching bands in a
wonderful atmosphere. These students have worked so
hard during the summer to be ready to represent
their schools at football games, parades and other
events, “Mr. Ceresini said, “so it’s really
gratifying to have an event where the focus is on
the bands themselves. We hope the community will
come out and show support for the bands.”
“I’d
especially like to invite those middle school
students who are considering joining a marching band
program to come check out this exhibition.” Mr.
Ceresini added, “Band-a-RAMa provides a great way to
see the great high school groups. We’re proud to
host such a great lineup this year at Band-a-RAMa.”
While
the performances begin at 7:00pm, the RamBand
invites spectators to come as early as 5:00 pm for
an inside look at the bands’ preparations for their
evening performances. More
