• 08-Aug-10:  Band-a-RAMa is shaping up to be one of the biggest and best ever!  We have our 13th high school band signed up!  Thanks to Elizabethtown Area HS and their gigantic (~175 student) marching band for joining in the fun!  Plus we're hosting Bloomsburg U (several RamBand alumni are marching Huskies) and the 2D Marine Band.  Plus we're likely to have at least a few more additions between now and mid-September.  Click here for more info.

• 25-Jul-10:  On Wednesday, September 1, 2010, the Central Dauphin Band Boosters will host the Annual Central Dauphin RamBand Fair/Pigskin Preview.  This great Central Dauphin tradition brings together students participating in the marching band, cheerleading squad, and football team together with their families the Wednesday before the first football game to relax, have some fun, play some games, and enjoy some great food. 
  
  During the Band Fair portion of the event, each RamBand Section (band front, low brass, flutes/pics, etc.) will perform its warm-up repertoire and otherwise entertain you.  Band Fair will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, at which point we'll begin the Pigskin Preview.  Click here for Marching Band photos and look for galleries from past Band Fairs.  
  
  The Band Fair has become an increasingly important fundraiser and a great way to kick off the new marching band season.  Not surprisingly, it takes dozens of volunteers working together to staff the various concession areas, games, raffle tickets, and so on.  That's why we ask each band family to volunteer to work a shift at the upcoming Band Fair.  We're now using Charms for volunteering....
  
  You should have gotten a letter in the mail with your Student Password.  If so, just follow the instructions (click here).  If you didn't, just e-mail boosters@cdramband.org and we'll get you your password right away. Then to Volunteer for a Band Fair shift, just click on the "Volunteers" button, select the "2010.09.01 Band Fair/Pigskin Preview" and put your name and contact info in the shift you'd like to work....
• 18-Jul-10:  Have you logged into the new Charms software yet?   Starting in 2010-11, students will submit Practice Logs required for their band classes to Mr. Ceresini via a new online computer program called Charms.  If you haven't logged in yet, please do so and check it out.  We ask all Band Families to log in and update their Student Detail information (Student, Parent, & Contact information). 
  
  Charms also will provide our Band Families with many great features, including instant access to your Student Ledger information and the ability to check on volunteer needs online for specific shifts at specific events, and to volunteer for those spots instantly.
  
  Of course, as with any major software implementation, we’ll have to undertake the learning curve.  To help ease you into using the Charms System, we’ve put some information online at http://www.cdramband.org/charms.htm, where you’ll find basic Log In information, as well as a link to a Charms Handbook.
  (If you do not have access to a computer, or if submitting Practice Logs via the Charms online system imposes a hardship upon you, please see Mr. Ceresini to discuss alternatives.)

• 07-Jul-10:  Semper Fi!  We're thrilled to announce that The 2D Marine Division Band - "The Division's Own" -  from Camp Lejeune, NC, is scheduled to perform at the 29th Annual Band-a-RAMa to be held at Landis Field on the campus of the Central Dauphin Middle School on Saturday, September 18, 2010, starting at 7:00 pm.  Click here for more information on Band-a-RAMa.

• 25-Jun-10:  GTP and HERCO Volunteering update:  Effective immediately, the contribution to your Student Ledger (formerly known as the Student Account) from volunteering at GTP and HERCO will be 70% instead of 100%.  These, however, remain great ways to add funds to your Student Ledger-- click here for more information on HERCO and click here for more information on GTP.

Whether you graduated in 1955 or 2010, you’re invited to relive your RamBand glory days with us at CDHS Homecoming on September 24th for the Rams game against Mechanicsburg! Get together a group of your old high school band friends and join us on the field & in the stands!
