The CDHS Music Department is proud to announce that there is enough firm
information that we can beginning taking reservations for students and
parents who would like to go on the all department music trip to Orlando,
Florida in March of 2011. We will participate in OrlandoFest, a nationally
recognized music festival, as well as spend time at amusement parks such as
Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Sea World.

Being that there are four music department teachers, students in all of the
band ensembles are welcome! Everyone is invited to go on this trip, and it
is optional. The cost of the trip is to be covered through fundraising and/or
individual expense. There will be numerous opportunities to fund-raise
through the band boosters and these monies will be placed in the student's
account so that they can easily be transferred to pay for the trip. If
students take an active role in fundraising now there is no reason they
cannot completely pay for the trip.
The cost of the trip is slightly higher than past trips, but this is in a
down economy, and comes with a great advantage... we will be FLYING to
Florida. This is much preferable to an 18 hour bus ride each way, and
should make the trip easier and more relaxing. The trip is also scheduled so
that students only miss one actual day of school, as Friday March 9th is
already a scheduled day off.

We're talking about money you're going to spend anyway!
So, in that sense, RamBand Scrip is "shopping cart fundraising” that costs you nothing except a little bit of time to plan ahead.
