Perkins Dine-to-Donate - Wednesday, August 3, 2016

Would you like a break from cooking?  Would you like to support your favorite band program?  You can do both at the same time on Wednesday, August 3.  We need 100 people to eat dinner at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery between the hours of 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Marching Band 2016 - 2017

The calendar for the 2016 - 2017 school year is set and available on the calendar.  Please take a few minutes to review the schedule before planning vacations, college visits etc.

Band Camp, Band Camp, Band Camp!!!

It's hard to believe, but BAND CAMP is just around the corner...  Band Camp is held the Monday - Friday the first two weeks in August - August 1 -5 and August 8 -12.  There will be a combination of split sessions meeting from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM and full day sessions starting at 8:00 AM.  Please check the calendar for details.

Band Camp is an intense time where our members will master the music and learn drill for the upcoming show.  Please check out our Band Camp page.

Coolers and Canopies Needed - Thursday, August 11, 2016

The Boosters need your help -- we are looking to borrow 4 pop-up canopies and 10 coolers on Thursday, August 11 for the Kauffmans Chicken BBQ fundraiser.  If you are willing to loan us either (or both), please email Kathy Novak at chickenbbq@cdramband.org.  Item should be dropped off in the band room during morning band camp.

Volunteer Background Check Information

Many of you may already be aware from attending meetings that the District has a new policy on Volunteers, effective July 1st of this year. This is a new State regulation, and is only being enforced by the District. 

Starting July 1st, ALL adults who have consistent contact with students will need to have all three clearances on file with the district.  This includes the Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Check and FBI Fingerprints.  Effective July 25, 2015, Governor Wolf has waived the fee for the Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Check.  You may sign an affidavit form to be exempt from the FBI clearance if you have lived in Pennsylvanin for more than 10 years.  Once you have obtained the necessary paperwork, you must schedule an appointment at the Administration building (717)545-4703.

The Central Dauphin Band Boosters Association is an organization of parents, alumni, and friends who support music education at Central Dauphin High School.  The Band Boosters generally meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Band Room at Central Dauphin High School.
