Please click here for this year’s Enrollment Form!

The the 2010-11 Central Dauphin Band Boosters Association's Annual Membership Drive started a few weeks ago.  And now we're sort of stalled.  Only a few dozen of you have joined and we're still 140 members shy of our goal.  Marching Band folks- you're coming to school throughout the summer, why not print out the Enrollment Form, grab your checkbook, and get it ready to bring to practice?  Concert, Jazz, and Indoor ensemble members, please drop it in the mail today!

Click here for this year’s Enrollment Form.
Last  year we had over 100 families join our group.  This year, our goal is to have every single family with a student in a RamBand performing ensemble (Marching, Indoor, Concert, or Jazz) join our organization.  And since Marching Band is the first group to convene and work together, we're starting with you!
Please click here for this year’s Enrollment Form and submit as soon as possible.

Introducing Charms

Band Families: Watch your mailboxes for important Log In information for the new Charms software!    Starting in 2010-11, students will submit Practice Logs required for their band classes to Mr. Ceresini via a new online computer program called Charms.  (If you do not have access to a computer, or if submitting Practice Logs via the Charms online system imposes a hardship upon you, please see Mr. Ceresini to discuss alternatives.)

Charms also will provide our Band Families with many great features, including instant access to your Student Ledger information and the ability to check on volunteer needs online for specific shifts at specific events, and to volunteer for those spots instantly.

Of course, as with any major software implementation, we’ll have to undertake the learning curve.  To help ease you into using the Charms System, we’ve put some information online at http://www.cdramband.org/charms.htm, where you’ll find basic Log In information, as well as a link to a Charms Handbook.

We’ll also be reviewing Charms at the next Band Boosters Association meeting, on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 7:00pm.  Questions?  Just send an e-mail to boosters@cdramband.org.

Unofficial Band Parents' Handbook

The RamBand and the Band Boosters are unimaginably busy! Without exaggeration, there is something going on almost every week of the year. And for incoming band families, sometimes it’s a lot to try to take in at once. Because the RamBand family is so large (170+ students), it’s almost impossible to contact everyone at once, so we thought it would be a good idea to try to create this Handbook. This is not an “Official” Handbook, nor is it designed to be a comprehensive list of Band Booster stuff. Mr. Ceresini provides his Official Student Handbook to all students participating in a RamBand ensemble at the beginning of the school year.  Instead, the “Unofficial” information will familiarize you with our Band Boosters Association organization, its functions, projects, events, and committees.   Click here for a copy.

Harrisburg Senators Fundraiser!

Click here for the Order Form

Save the date…. August 18, 2010…. and plan on taking the family out to the ballpark to see our very own 2010 CD Ram Marching Band.  Plans include performances both before the game and perhaps during the 7th inning stretch.  We hope to fill at least a section or two with Ram Band fans, and maybe even a few people who have come to see the baseball game too!  And in the meantime, if you’d like to catch a Senators game or two, even without the added attraction of the Ram Band, please be sure to purchase from the band your ticket vouchers which are valid for any of the home games the Harrisburg Senators will play this year, including August 18th. Click here for the Order Form.

Simply present the voucher at the Senators Box Office on City Island and choose your Box Seat.  Please note:  Vouchers may be used for any home Senators Game, including August 18th.  For any game other than August 18th, the voucher should be present at the ticket booth and exchanged for a seat assignment.  On August 18th, in order that our group is able to sit together, vouchers will be pre-purchased and then presented that evening at a designated table that will be set up in the main entry ticket booth area.  A Senators representative will exchange your voucher for a ticket in our designated seating area.  If you wish to sit with the group you will need to present your pre-purchased (and discounted) voucher at the entryway table on game day.  If however you'd prefer not to be acknowledge your association with our group that's fine too- but you'll pay full price for your ticket and then you can sit as far away from the rest of us as you so desire, but we don't know why you'd want to do that!

We’re pleased to share some exciting news about a great fundraising program for the Central Dauphin Band Boosters Association. It’s called “scrip,” and it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop.  Scrip is a term we use to denote gift cards from national and local retailers-- they’re the same gift cards that you'd buy at the store.  But when you buy them from us, you're helping the Central Dauphin Ram Band programs. Many popular retailers participate in the RamBand Scrip program including Giant, Weis Markets, Karns, Home Depot, Office Max, Rite Aid, Gap, Macy's, Sears, Borders, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Starbucks, and scores of others.  We're talking about money you're going to spend anyway!
