Volunteering is a terrific way to get involved in your student's activities at Central Dauphin High School, and the CD Bands Program provides LOTS of opportunities for you.  

 

HOWEVER, as most of you are aware, the Central Dauphin School District, in compliance with Pennsylvania State Law, requires that ALL adults who have consistent contact with students must ensure they obtain the following three clearances PRIOR to volunteering:

• Pennsylvania Criminal Background clearance,

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance

• Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) clearance 

 

Once you obtain these clearances, you'll be provided an official Central Dauphin School District Volunteer Badge, which you are required to wear at all times when in contact with students.

NOTE - IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A VOLUNTEER BADGE ISSUED BY THE CENTRAL DAUPHIN SCHOOL DISTRICT - GREAT - SIMPLY CHECK THE "VALID UNTIL" DATE TO ENSURE IT HASN'T EXPIRED, AND YOU ARE ALL SET TO PLAY YOUR PART!

 

The fees for the Pennsylvania Criminal Background and Child Abuse checks are waived by law, so there is no financial cost to you. And if have been a resident of Pennsylvania for more than ten years, you may sign an affidavit form to be exempt from the FBI clearance.
